Robbie “Ronnie” Bowman, 68, of Mosheim, passed away Thursday after an extended illness.
He enjoyed fishing and hunting with family friends.
He also enjoyed playing the guitar at different churches. He was a member of Mt. View Free Will Baptist church, which he attended as long as his health permitted.
He retired from INCA/BASF in Lowland.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years: Linda Bowman; two daughters: Teonia and Wayne Davis, and Misty and Steve Wilbur; a stepson: Danny and Trish Morrision; one sister: Lea Ellen Turner; three brothers: Jerry and Faye Bowman, Tommy Bowman, and Jimmy and Shirley Bowman; his mother-in-law: Marjorie Davis; two brothers-in-law: Allan and Kathy Davis, and E.J. and Penny Davis; two sister-in-laws: Carol Thacker, and Denise and Bo Ragon; grandchildren: Dennis Cannon, Lindsey Davis, Cody Morrison, Jordie Davis, Skylar Wilbur, Lucas Wilbur, Stephanie Hatfield and Brian Gragg; great-grandchildren: David Cannon, Allison Gragg, Guage Brown, Jaxton Hatfield and Raylynn Lyons; and three nieces that called him grandpa: Melanie Ragon, and Aclean and Gracie Bobadilla.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Edna and Howard Bowman; his stepmother: Maxine Bowman; father-in-law: Fred Davis; a sister: Lou Ann; and a stepson: David Morrison.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 1-3 and 5-7 p.m. at Jeffers Funeral & Cremation Service, downtown. The funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. in Jeffers Downtown Chapel with the Rev. Johnny “Bo” Ragon and the Rev. Richard Long officiating.
A graveside service will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Brown Springs Cemetery. Family and friends are ask to meet at the funeral at 1 p.m. Sunday to go in procession.
Pallbearers will be Cody Morrison, Dennis Cannon, Ricky Bowman, Johnny Turner, David Hinkley and Lonnie Bowman.
The family expressed a special thanks to Lisa Evans and Vicky Critten with Amedisys and all the staff.
