MORRISTOWN — Voretta Swatzell Skeen, 81, of Morristown, passed away Saturday at University of Tennessee Medical Center.

She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.

Mrs. Skeen graduated from Greeneville High School and retired from Enka/BASF.

Preceding her in death were her parents: Robert and Edna Swatzell; sisters: Edith Coffey and Lucy Kate Smelcer; a brother: Genay Swatzell; and son-in-law: Randy Reece.

Survivors include her husband: Malcolm Skeen; daughters: Sherri Reece, Terri (James) Reinhardt, Regina (Steve) Greene and Lisa (Fred) Jones; grandchildren: Rachel (Richard) Ripley, Spring (Jeff) Gardner, Raven (Shane Borie) King, Derrick Jefferson, Shane Phillips and Dillon Phillips; numerous great-grandchildren; siblings: Annis Jones, Eugene Swatzell, Gladys Idell, Dean Swatzell and Zemery Swatzell; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends in the chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 8 p.m. in Stubblefield Chapel with the Rev. Steven Richardson officiating.

Family and friends will gather in Hamblen Memory Gardens Thursday at 12:45 p.m. for a 1 p.m. graveside service.
