Walter Lee Wills, 82, of the Orebank community, passed away Tuesday morning at Greeneville Community Hospital East.

Walter was a dairy farmer and retired from the Tennessee State Highway Department.

He was a member of Overlook Drive Free Will Baptist Church, where he attended as long as his health permitted.

Walter enjoyed coon hunting and watching the Atlanta Braves.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years: Lee Dola Wills; two children: Karen Johnson and Gary Wills; three grandchildren: Lee Ann Fisher, Travis Wills, and Michael Wills and Crystal; two great-grandchildren: Jaelyn and Kadence Fisher; one sister: Susie Wills; one brother: Herbert Wills; and special friends: Dave and Denna.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Calvin and Jessie Wills; one sister: Armenia Tarlton; and a brother: Dewey Wills.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be Friday at 1 p.m. in the Doughty-Stevens Chapel with the Rev. Dwayne Steele and the Rev. Sam Smith officiating.

Interment will follow in Pine Springs Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Stokley Hogan, Dave Caldwell, Jimmy Huffman, Rickey Arrington, Rickey Chandley and Allen Arrington.
