William Davis Campbell, 84, of Greeneville, died Monday afternoon at Johnson City Medical Center.

He was born Jan. 18, 1934, in Greeneville and was a son of the late Frank Lee and Mary E. Anderson Campbell.

“Bill” served in the U.S. Navy and was an employee of Philips Consumer Electronics (Magnavox) for 32 years.

He was a member of First Presbyterian Church.

Bill was a member of Greenville Masonic Lodge No. 3 F&AM, Scottish Rite, Shriners and Greeneville Moose Lodge Chapter No. 692. Bill was a licensed pilot and enjoying flying.

Survivors include one daughter: Donna Marie Reed, of Greeneville; one grandson: Lee Alan Reed, of Johnson City; and three cousins: Fred Peters, of Greeneville, Dr. Carl Anderson, of Memphis, and Captain James McCord, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. in Doughty-Stevens Chapel. Dr. Jim Mays, Dr. Dan Donaldson and the Rev. Greg Cartwright will officiate.

Military graveside services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Andrew Johnson National Cemetery. The Greene County Honor Guard and U.S. Navy Military Honors team will convey honors. Family and friends are asked to meet at Doughty-Stevens at 9:15 a.m. to travel in procession to the service.
