Greene County General Session Court Cases Heard by Judge Kenneth Bailey Jr. on July 29 included:

Vance Surratt, 14055 W. Andrew Johnson Highway, Bulls Gap, forfeited a cash bond, for worthless check charge.

Fabian Alexander Story, 95 Clay Way, fined $350 and court cost, sentenced to 11 months 29 days suspended to 2 days in jail, with the balance on probation, required to attend DUI school and license suspended for one year, for DUI.

Gary L. Ranney, 184 Ocean Boulevard E., fined $50 and court cost, sentenced to 11 months 29 days suspended to 10 days in jail, with the balance on probation, for evading arrest.

Mark Tolley, 885 Pitt Loop, Chuckey, sentenced to 10 days in jail, for contempt on a failure to appear charge.

Samantha Lynn Miller, 290 Jennings Creek Lane, fined $25 and court cost, sentenced to 10 days in jail, for contempt on a failure to appear charge and for public intoxication.

Haley Renee Gyori, 790 N. Cedar Bluff Road, Knoxville, fined $750 and court cost, sentenced to 11 months 29 days suspended to 10 days in jail, with the balance on probation, for simple possession of a schedule III drug.

Mark Anthony Tolley, no address listed or last known address 885 Pitt Loop, Chuckey, sentenced to two terms of 11 months 29 days at 70 percent release eligibility date and probation terminated on a violation of probation, to be served consecutively.

Samantha Lynn Miller, 290 Jennings Creek Lane, sentenced to 30 days, probation continued and extended 11 months for violation of probation.

Charges were dismissed for the following:

James Christopher Brough, 5250 Pates Hill Road, Mosheim, for stalking;

Rex Allen Hinkle, 15 Haun School Lane, Mohawk, for simple assault;

Vance Surratt, 14055 W. Andrew Johnson Highway, Bulls Gap, for failure to appear;

Freddie Allen Melton Sr., for simple assault;

Jessy L. Massey, 4375 Old Stage Road, Chuckey, for expired registration and violation of motorcycle helmet required law;

Haley R. Gyori, 790 N. Cedar Bluff Road, Knoxville, for failure to appear; sentenced to four days in jail for contempt.

The state declined to prosecute for Fabian Alexander Story, 95 Clay Way, for possession of drug paraphernalia.
