Greene County General Session Court Cases Heard by Judge Kenneth Bailey Jr. on Sept. 23 included:

Mark E. Brown, 1584 Old State Route 34, Telford, fined $1,705 and court cost, sentenced to 11 months 29 days suspended to 10 days in jail, with the balance on probation, for schedule II drug violation, schedule IV drug violation, unlawful drug paraphernalia, violation of financial responsibility law, and failure to yield.

Marie E. Tweed, 585 Buckboard Road, fined $25 and court cost, sentenced to 30 days suspended to time served, for public intoxication.

William B. Marshall, 144 Brooks Drive, fined $25 and court cost, sentenced to 30 days suspended to 10 days in jail, with the balance on probation, for public intoxication.

Jack L. Rice, 10630 107 Cutoff, fined $225 and court cost, sentenced to 11 months 29 days suspended to two days in jail, with the balance on probation, for public intoxication, unlawful drug paraphernalia and criminal impersonation.

Philip Wayne Riddle, 2281 Old State Route 34, Limestone, fined $350 and court cost, sentenced to 11 months 29 days suspended to seven days in jail, with the balance on probation, required to attend DUI school and license suspended for one year, for DUI.

William Brent Marshall, 303 Carolina Drive, sentenced to 30 days, probation continued and extended 11 months for violation of probation.

Jack Rice, 10630 107 Cutoff, sentenced to 45 days in jail, probation continued and extended 11 months for violation of probation.

Christian Ramsey, 139 A. Cox Circle, sentenced to 11 months 29 days at 70 percent release eligibility date and probation terminated for violation of probation.

Charges were dismissed for the following:

Nathaniel Isaiah Frost, 114 Colbaugh Lane, Elizabethton, for driving on a suspended license;

Joshua A. Belt, 1764 McCoy Road, for driving on a suspended license;

Samuel Clay Self, 6900 Kingsport Highway, Afton, for failure to appear.

The state declined to prosecute Daniel S. Schofield, 7586 Greystone Road, Afton, for domestic assault/abuse.

A judicial diversion was granted for the following:

Alexis Shelton, 1420 Bibles Chapel Road, Midway, for theft under $1,000;

Michael E. Sexton, 605 Billy Bible Road, for possession of a handgun while under the influence;

Brittany Nicole McCravey, 217 Green St., Wickliffe, Kentucky, for domestic assault, misdemeanor assault and aggravated burglary.
